Strawberries are a leading agricultural commodity in Santa Barbara County, with Santa Maria berries famous for miles around. The annual festival is in April at the Santa Barbara Fairgrounds in Santa Maria.

The fun includes a carnival, parade, concert, crafts, and entertainment, and previous festivals have raised thousands of dollars for non-profit groups.
